The industry standard for today's generator cable assemblies, cam connectors (also referred to as camlok, camlock, camloc, cam-lock, cam-loc) are designed to stand up to the physical and environmental abuse while facilitating a simple, yet secure connection method for large gensets. Various manufacturers produce the cam connectors and they are all intermateable with each other which simplifies field installations and provides added safety. Intermateability is only possible with cams of the same series...again for safety reasons 15 Series: Cable sizes #8 AWG-#2 AWG rated at 150 AMPS 16 Series: Cable sizes #2 AWG-#4/0 AWG rated at 400 AMPS 17 Series: Cable sizes 250 MCM-750 MCM rated at 690 AMPS

These connectors provide a simplified installation alternative for busbar connections. The female connector can be connected with a bolt, directly to the busbar facillitating the connection of a male cam connector. These connectors can be an alternative to pigtail extensions in certain installations and they are available in various colors in both the "Angle" and "Offset" designs.

Panel receptacles are available in both male and female in a multitude of colors. These allow for panels to be constructed providing a permanent connection means between the generator set and the cam connecorized generator cables. The "Double Set Screw" and "Threaded Stud" designs allow for the creation of both load and sevice side connections with greater design flexibility.
